When is the best time for Newborn Photos?
When is the best time to take your baby for its Newborn Photos?
One of the most asked questions in my inbox, so lets get into it.
For me, the best time for your baby’s newborn shoot should be done between 5-15days old ideally however I will shoot newborns within the 4 week window.
Now hear me out, I have had two children, and I have been a newborn photography for over 9 years. Yes as a new mum you are not feeling 100% yourself in those first two weeks. You may be feeling tired, very hormonal, bleeding heavily and not up for doing much. However this is optimal time for your baby as they are verrry sleepy, and still in their curled up scrunchy stage which is perfect for photos, as it is easier and safer to pose them! Making them look extra small and cute when we capture them.
Mumma, you will be in good hands when you arrive in my studio. I run my sessions in a way where you can be totally relaxed and comfortable, as you get to really watch and absorb your baby properly for the first time outside of “survival mode”
I will handle everything so you don’t have to. The only thing you have to do is sit back, smile and enjoy.
It is best to secure your booking during your second trimester, as I do only take a select number of newborns per month.
